Southern Water utility works

Essential utility works will be taking place along Horsebridge Hill, Parkhurst and Elenors Grove, Fishbourne, as part of planned infrastructure schemes delivered by Southern Water.

These works will take place during the dates shown below.

Horsebridge Hill

Works start: Monday 26 January 2026
Works end: Late April 2026

Elenors Grove

Works start: Monday 2 February 2026
Works end: Late April 2026

Island Roads has made efforts to rearrange its own highways maintenance works around these schemes, where possible.

Who is responsible for the works?

These are Southern Water schemes. Southern Water is responsible for delivering the works and for communicating directly with stakeholders, including local residents and businesses affected by the activity.

Island Roads granted the works space on the network on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council (the Highways Authority) and assisted Southern Water in the planning of diversion routes.
