Car Parks

Island Roads is responsible for the maintenance of the surfacing and the tickets machines in all Isle of Wight Council owned public car parks across the Island.

The car parks which Island Roads maintains undergo monthly inspections carried out by District Stewards. During these inspections, any defects relating to the car park surface, road markings, or other assets maintained by Island Roads, are identified and issued for rectification.

In addition to these routine inspections, all car parks within Island Roads’ responsibility, are subject to an annual condition survey, undertaken by an independent surveyor.

How do I report a problem with the surfacing or a ticket machine in any of these car parks?

Members of the public may report concerns regarding car park surfacing or ticket machine functionality by contacting Island Roads via telephone, email, or through the FixMyStreet online reporting service.

How do I query parking charges or a parking fine I have received?

The Isle of Wight Council’s Parking Services team still deals with the parking enforcement issues across the Island, including pay and display locations and on street parking contraventions. They also deal with a variety of parking permits for various schemes on the Island. To contact the Isle of Wight Council’s Parking Services team, contact 01983 821000 or visit their website.
