Members of the public are invited to learn more about Island Roads and its work to upgrade and maintain the Island’s highways network at a series of drop-in sessions around the Island this summer.

Island Roads’ mobile visitor centre will be in each of the Island’s major towns between May and August where staff will be on hand to answer issues residents may have.

Tracy Ringer, Island Roads performance manager said the visits of the mobile centre offered residents the opportunity to ask about specific local issues or general questions about the highways PFI.

She said: “The condition of the Island’s highway network and our ongoing programme to improve and maintain it remain issues of great public interest. We are currently embarking on a very intensive period of work to improve this network so it is a really good to time to be going out in to the communities to explain more about this.”

15 May – The Cut, Cowes

5 June – Yarmouth Main Carpark.
