Storm Ciaran

Last updated: 2 November October 3.09pm

We anticipate Storm Ciaran to cause disruption to the Island’s road network overnight on Wednesday 1 November and throughout Thursday 2 November, with flooding, fallen trees and debris in the highway extremely likely.

We are using teams from across the business to ensure maximum resources are available for the duration of Storm Ciaran. We are also liaising closely with partners including the IW Council, police, and other emergency services so the Island’s response is fully co-ordinated.

Our teams will be responding to reports as quickly as it is safe to do so. We have also been busy, for example, carrying out additional gully cleansing at hotspot gulley locations known to be prone to blocking and flooding.

As we become aware of roads affected by the storm we will post details below. This page will be regularly updated throughout the day.

To report a fallen tree or obstruction in the highway, please report it online or call our Highways Emergency number 01983 822440.
