The full 1.7 kilometre stretch of Gunville Road and Priory Road will be upgraded between July 27 and August 3 in another night scheme.
Keith Gourlay, Island Roads construction manager, said: “We are once again making use of overnight work where appropriate as we seek to keep disruption to road users to an absolute minimum. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this work will cause but we hope that residents will welcome the upgrade of these busy sections of roads that serve Newport and the surrounding communities.”
