The Isle of Wight Council is still responsible for authorising yellow line road markings where there is a need to restrict parking to help increase traffic flow and to prevent obstructions on the highway.

How do I request new single or double yellow lines?

Island Roads will be responsible for administering the requests for amendments to Traffic Regulation Orders. Island Roads will carry out safety assessments and prepare committee reports to be considered for approval by the Isle of Wight Council.

How do I request that an existing road marking or double yellow line is repainted?

Island Roads is responsible for the maintenance of existing highway markings, if an existing line is faded and needs repainted, please call our helpdesk on 01983 822440 or complete this online form. 

How do I report a vehicle which is parked on double yellow lines?

The Isle of Wight Council is responsible for the enforcement of parking on double yellow lines, please call their contact centre on 01983 821000 to report this.
